Almost any desktop or rackmount that Dell sells these days. A 1.8GHz single core CPU and 1GB of RAM would probably be enough - that's a very light use for a file and print server. 2GB of RAM would definitely be enough. Add 2 Ethernet cards (for redundancy - use 1, but you can switch to the other fast if the first one fails) and you're done. Don't let them sell you on a big box - you don't need it for that application. (Run it on Linux and your requirements go down, it's cheaper, it's much more solid and copying the files is just as easy.)

What would be the best dell server file and printer server for the price and 10 users?
I want to run xp on it because the old one ran on xp is there a program that helps with transfering the files from the old server to the new server too if anyone knows.What would be the best dell server file and printer server for the price and 10 users?
