Basically, servers are designed to use server edition of OSes ... that they have no proper graphics acceleration hardware, but lots of RAM and generally multi core CPUs. a server is really just a pc, it might have multiple larger hard drives with data protection such as raid 5. a good server usually also has multiple XEON processors
so yes it can do everything a normal pc can do, but they do tend to be a bit noisier
