What can I run on a web server so that I can simply upload and download files from any computer? Some kind of application be it HTML or php or whatever you can think of.What is the best web server application?
filezilla is a free ftp client which will allow you to do that.
Or tightvnc which will also allow you to control the server remotely

i find it useful
but dont change the permissions cus it screws up
you cant even get in from your ftp client
