my boss has old equipment running some dos and win98 its all connected to a server... its very slow and they want to upgrade the computers, i want to know the cheapest and best route to go. for example would 2 desktops on a network be cheaper/faster then a new server and desktops. they do payroll and a little invatory and a few other things.. any tips suggestions or details are greatly appreciated thanks!What is a better setup for my bosses buisness a server or a network?
For long-run, better have a server and one (or more) workstations (desktops). You can use the server for print-server, file-server, backup server, etc., and use the workstations for daily work.
